"A New Era of Efficiency: Enhancing Transport, Procurement and HR at Our School"
This year, our school has significantly enhanced its transport management system by introducing several new bus routes to accommodate students from long-distance areas such as Spic, Udankudi and other nearby regions. These routes have been strategically designed to ensure that students from these far-reaching areas have convenient and safe access to school, reducing their commute time and providing them with reliable transportation. To further ensure the well-being of our students, we have recruited dedicated bus caretakers who are responsible for overseeing the students on their journey, making sure they are safe, comfortable and well taken care of throughout the ride. Each bus is also equipped with GPS tracking and CCTV cameras, ensuring real-time monitoring of routes and student safety during the journey. With these improvements, we aim to offer a smoother, more organized transport experience while prioritizing the safety and care of our students. As per the guidance of our advisor, we are going to implement RFID for every student in the next academic year. The purchase department in our school is responsible for ensuring that all necessary materials, including books and other materials are purchased and distributed efficiently. We prioritize buying textbooks early, well in advance of the school year, to guarantee that students have the required resources from the start. Once the books are received, we follow a structured and well-coordinated process to ensure each student receives their textbooks in a timely and accurate manner. In addition to books, the department also handles the purchase of other essential supplies such as stationery, teaching materials and classroom equipment, ensuring everything is available when needed. Throughout the entire process, we work closely with our advisor, who provides valuable guidance to ensure that all purchases align with the school’s educational goals and budget. This careful planning and execution helps create a smooth and efficient system that supports both teachers and students in their learning activities. New HR policies, such as those related to attendance, monitoring the leave system, and updating entry and exit procedures, have been amended to enhance operational efficiency and accountability. These changes aim to ensure that staff adhere to clear guidelines for attendance, track leave requests accurately and follow standardized protocols for entering and exiting the premises. By implementing these updates, we aim to improve overall safety of the school and foster a more disciplined, organized work environment. During the academic year 2024-25, recruitment was carried out by placing advertisements in both newspapers and social media platforms to reach a wider pool of potential candidates. This approach allowed us to attract diverse applicants and ensure that we found the best fit for various teaching and administrative positions. Upgrading our recruitment procedures involved implementing a more thorough filtering process, which includes written assessments, demo lessons and one-on-one interviews to assess candidates’ skills and suitability. The written assessments allow us to evaluate the candidates’ subject knowledge, while demo lessons provide insight into their teaching abilities and classroom management. Following the assessments, one-on-one interviews offer a chance to better Understand the candidates’ Personality communication skills and alignment with the school’s values and goals
